	KRONOS develops new titanium dioxide-based photocatalyst The KRONOS Group has developed a titanium dioxide-based photocatalyst which allows the targeted degradation of pollutants into harmless substances, such as carbon dioxide and water.

	Intertek opens consumer goods testing laboratory in Korea Intertek has opened its first consumer goods testing laboratory for textiles, apparel and soft home furnishings in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, Korea.

	Lenzing first half profits €80.4m Lenzing’s overall EBIT increased sevenfold for the period to the end of June 2010 compared with a year ago from €15.4m to €108.6m. Profit for the period, after deduction of income taxes of €24.6m came to €80.4m.

	Garden fabric uses Sonobond Ultrasonics’ bonding technology EvoOrganic has developed its Rainweave fabrics, designed to reduce water usage by up to 80% over conventional methods and to encourage improved plant growth, using bonding technology from Sonobond Ultrasonics.

	ContiTech takes over joint venture in China ContiTech AG has fully taken over its ContiTech-Jiebao Power Transmission Systems Ltd joint venture and intends to strengthen the manufacturing location in Ninghai, China.
